Delta Connection Academy is the first school to receive the award, which was created in 2006 “to reward flight schools for hard work and being customer focused.”
“We are honored to have been selected as Top Flight School by Pilot Journey and its members,” said Captain Gary Beck, President and CEO of Delta Connection Academy. “While we all strive for excellence, recognition by your peers, students and other industry insiders is particularly rewarding.”
In making the award, Gary Bradshaw, president of Pilot Journey, explained that selection as Pilot Journey’s Top Flight School is based on the result of a comprehensive and on-going survey conducted by Pilot Journey. The survey, he said, asks respondents to answer questions that run the gamut from “Does your flight instructor arrive prepared for lessons and on time?” to “Does management care about your success?”
“We started this award program,” Bradshaw said, “because we are passionate about helping flight schools achieve excellence in customer service and flight education. That’s what will increase the pilot population everywhere. Moreover, awards like this help schools become better at what they do through positive and accurate feedback and help aspiring students make informed decisions on where they can obtain the very best flight instruction.”
Bradshaw said that more than 6,000 people have completed the survey, which included comments about 745 flight schools nationwide. More detail about how the award is calculated can be obtained by visiting the following link: http://pilotjourney.com/topflightabout
